As July has arrived, now's the time to put together your plans for European Mobility Week 2019 (alternatively branded as TravelWise Week in the UK), our annual campaign taking place 16-22 September.

You can organise a week of activities or focus on the 22 September Car Free Day. The Mayor of London has announced (see news item below) an ambitious programme to reclaim 12 miles of street space for community activities - along with separate events in at least 18 boroughs. Let's take this the next step and take this level of activity out to the regions!

The short article in this issue 'Car Free Day The Easy Way' by Don Kent highlights some simple ways to get involved. And we've got updated resources including posters to help you out.

Also in this issue, you'll see that there's just one day left to comment on the 2nd edition of the SUMP guidelines. But if you're apply to work at WestTrans, the deadline is over two weeks away. Lastly, there are several events where members get 20% discounts on delegate places.

If you have ideas for other events/training or wish to lead one yourself, or if your company would like to sponsor one or more events or e-bulletins, please do get in touch. Thank you for reading!

Our Member Login Area on Acttravelwise.org is now populated with scores of guidance documents, conference presentations and other resources made available exclusively to members. If you're not already an Act TravelWise member, it's easy to join and you can do this by completing our Membership Form found on the website. Among other benefits, membership gives you a free place at all of our events throughout the year. You also get discounts on registration at our partners' events.
