"To support UCLan's ambitions to become the UK’s most active University campus, a new research group have formed to focus on a cycling agenda, aligning research and innovation projects with University and community initiatives. The overarching aim to make tangible impact through multi-disciplinary collaborations by improving the cycling experience and encourage more active cyclists for leisure and commuting.
The University are investing in their provision of cycling services to UCLan staff and students through the introduction of a Cycle Hub, mywellness app as well as looking to improve the routes which connect the City and main campus together. The research team are currently completing an audit of existing cycling projects and explore new opportunities to support agendas of external partners including British Cycling, Lancashire County Council, Preston City Council and Active Lancashire."
