Over 30 people attended the workshop on 21 April at the offices of DfT to hear the Department's Economic Appraisal experts introduce the recently launched Toolkit on appraisal of sustainable travel schemes and share their insights on what makes a good bid.
The workshop, which was exclusively for Act TravelWise members, was the first of a number of sessions that will be run across the UK in the coming months.

Act TravelWise is delighted to announce that it will, this year, be delivering a series of workshops in partnership with the Department for Transport. The workshops, which are for Act TravelWise members only, provide those responsible for compiling bids for funding with insights on the Department’s economic appraisal process for active and sustainable travel schemes.
The sessions, which are being delivered by the Department’s senior economists and policy advisers, include an introduction to their new web-based Toolkit for economic appraisal, a perspective on what makes a good bid from the point of view of an economist and a hands-on practical session where delegates can try out the Toolkit and the Department’s experts will be on hand to answer any queries.
The first workshop is at 2pm on 21 April 2015 at the Department’s offices in London. Places are free but limited so book your place now on the event page. If you are not already and wish to become a member to take advantage of this great offer, please complete the online Membership Form here.
