Consultant Transport Planner (STT)

Salary: £22k - £27k pa
Colin Buchanan is seeking a Transport Planner to undertake technical and project support within the Sustainable Travel team.
Your core duties will include:
* Producing travel plans
* Creating implementation timelines for projects
* Providing technical input to travel planning and multi-disciplinary projects
* Create, conduct and analyse travel surveys
* Contribute to the production of proposal documents and business development/ marketing activities
* Site visits, research and obtaining information to support projects
* Analysis of information using software packages
* Working with other members of the sustainable travel team as well as the wider transport planning group on a variety of projects. Potential to also work with other groups within company such as transport modelling, traffic engineering, development, planning, economics and urban design.
* Attend technical meetings with clients and client teams.
Requirements
· Graduate (Postgraduate qualification desirable)
· Previous experience in a similar role within a consultancy
· Experience of writing and implementing travel plans is essential
· Able to produce proposals for new work
· Competent in creating surveys
* Knowledge of best practice guidance in all areas of travel planning
* Excellent communication skills with a high standard of spoken and written English
* Knowledge of GIS (MapInfo or Arcview), iTRACE as well as general IT proficiency.
