Smarter Choices Supervisor

Salary: Grade 7 (£22,665-£26,279)
Kirkintilloch/Lenzie is one of seven towns selected by the Scottish Government for the Smarter Choices, Smarter Places initiative. This post has been created to oversee a small team dedicated to delivering the smarter choices programme.
Duties will include establishing an office within Kirkintilloch, supervision of the staff and liaising with East Dunbartonshire Council Transportation Team. There will be some requirement for weekend working.
You will have experience of report writing and an enthusiasm for sustainable transport.
You will also be involved in Council transport policy.
While a background in office management or transportation is preferable, exceptional candidates without this background but with the correct blend of ability, enthusiasm and knowledge of transport issues, will be considered. In particular excellent communication, time management and report writing skills are essential. You must also be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
