PTP-Cycle is a project co-funded by the European Commission to create a switch from car trips to cycling, walking and public transport use through Personalised Travel Planning (PTP). As part of the project a free training workshop will be taking place in Brussels on 18 November 2015, aimed at local authorities and other transport professionals who would like to expand their knowledge of PTP.
- Learn the principles and practice of setting up and delivering effective PTP projects in different settings (residential, workplaces and universities)
- Discover PTP tools and resources and learn how to use them to suit local context
- Hear from people with first-hand experience of delivering PTP
- Find out about current and prospective European funding opportunities for PTP projects
Ahead of this event, the sustainable transport charity Sustrans will be running a webinar on Thursday 17 September 2015, 2.30-3.30pm (GMT) so that delegates can gain an understanding of the different elements to successful PTP and the depth involved in delivery. The webinar will also include an introduction to the PTP-Cycle project, results achieved by partner cities so far, and information on mentoring services that are being offered through the project.
