The Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges, which has a sub-group devoted to transport and travel, has two upcoming conferences. Both conferences would be good opportunities to learn more about transport and travel planning in the higher education sector and their context within the wider sustainability agenda.
EAUC-Scotland Conference 2017 will be held on 22 February 2017, 9:30 am to 7 pm, at University of Stirling. The conference is structured around four key themes which will be explored in extended Summits by a range of speakers. Each Summit will run both morning and afternoon to allow delegates to pick the two of most interest to them. Details on the Conference Programme and travel information can be found here.
Then the EAUC 21st Annual Conference will take place from 28-30 March 2017 at Lancaster University. This year's theme will be Global Goals: Local Action and will recognise the critical role universities and colleges across the planet have to play in finding and implementing a solution to climate change and realising the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on a local level within their communities.Details can be found here.
