In this presentation, Dr. Marwan AL-Azzawi , Director of Mobility & Strategic Transport ,will discuss the key findings of the research, exploring how travel patterns have changed, how perceptions of different forms of transport have been impacted and what this means for the mobility as we plan for a post-Covid recovery.

Urban Public Transport Recovery Post Covid19 With urban public

The National Bus Strategy is the strongest intent from National Government since deregulation of the sector in 1985.  Contained within it there is a clear requirement that LTAs will need to get closer to planning of bus services, timetables, fares, ticketing, punctuality etc.. at a time when the future is uncertain and the industry is facing the biggest challenge of a generation.  Jon Hayes , Head of Bus TfWM, will provide a brief overview of the impact of covid-19 in the West Midlands region for bus travel, the opportunities and risks recovery through the National Bus Strategy presents and give a practical real world experience of delivering an Enhanced Partnership.
