Travel plans represent an important tool for promoting sustainable travel. They encourage effective use of current transport networks, support their enhancement and can contribute to wider goals, such as physical activity and social inclusion. Travel plans can be a key tool
in achieving national, regional and local objectives.
These good practice guidelines aim to help all those involved in creating and implementing travel plans understand the processes involved and illustrate the good practice steps for achieving successful and sustainable travel plans which can deliver wide ranging benefits.
