A one day conference with workshops sponsored by TfL and supported by DH and Change 4 Life.As champions of walking, Living Streets understand the importance of Active Travel. With the new Active Travel Strategy on the horizon we have joined with partners to present a one day conference with practical workshops to disseminate information about the tools and measures needed to encourage active travel, including techniques and evidence based tips on how to develop and sustain active travel for your organisation.

Purpose of the Conference:

-Hear the latest policy developments, resources and innovative ideas for implementing active travel initiatives and how it ties in the Active Travel Strategy
-Examine the new funding opportunities learn how others have obtained funding for active travel initiatives
-Learn about new initiatives, services and tools to help implement active travel
-Find out about UK best practice, case studies and awareness events such as National Walk to Work Week 2010 and Walk to School Month and activities around STEP UP
-Case studies
