ACT TravelWise are running this successful training course in September at Transport for London offices at St. James Park, London.
Feedback from delegates on previous courses has been superb, giving them a firm foundation for effective travel planners.
It is designed to train travel planners that are relatively new to the field in the key aspects of developing a good travel plan.
The course provides an introduction to the principles and practice of travel planning for Travel Plan Coordinators and Facility management that have been given responsibility for their Staff travel plan.
It is aimed at travel planners that are relatively new in their post, or would like to improve their skills and understanding. ATW recommends the course to Travel Planners that have less than 18 months experience of travel plans.
The course is prepared as a one-day interactive workshop and pre-course study. In the workshop delegates will work as groups to complete exercises under the supervision of expert trainers.
Delegates will also receive supporting material provided in a training course pack, which they are strongly encouraged to work on in advance of attendance at the workshop, as many of the exercises are designed to reinforce the elements provided by this material; we estimate at least five hours of study is needed prior to workshop attendance.
The importance of the workshop should however not be under-estimated, as ACTTW feel that it is extremely important that travel planners have the opportunity to meet, discuss their jobs and learn from each other. As most of the delegates are travel planners in a similar situations, the workshop sessions will therefore provide practical group exercises to encourage the sharing of ideas and experience.
