This is the first call for the conference on the 7th April 2009 at the University of Bolton titled 'Encouraging Commuter Cycling. Details may be found a www.bolton.ac.uk/cyclingconference or by emailing Lisa Hughes lh4@bolton.ac.uk.
The aim of the conference is to review and challenge best practice for encouraging commuter cycling. Topics will include: Cycling and travel plans; Engagement between authorities and employers; Health and productivity benefits; Cycling rail integration; Employer assisted purchase of bicycles; Workplace cycle challenges; Bicycle sharing schemes. There will be specialist speakers from local authorities, consultancies and user groups. The conference will use presentations, case studies and workshops in order to review and challenge current and emerging best practice in encouraging commuter cycling.
The cost is £150.
