Travel Planner of the Year

This award is for an exceptional individual who has achieved great results. It is open to any travel planner in the UK, and can be awarded to an individual who works mainly with any of the following types of travel plan: workplace, personal, residential, leisure, stadia or station. There are many different ways in which individuals ‘do their bit’ to develop travel plans across the country, so there are no definitive criteria on which we judge the awards, but we favour travel planners who have achieved results.   The award may go to someone who works in a local authority, a business, a one person charity or a supplier of products and services to travel planners.  Their contribution might be local, regional, national or all three.  It’s all about what the individual has managed to achieve in the past year, and the way in which they have gone about doing it.

School Travel Planner of the Year

This award is for an exceptional individual who has achieved great results as a School Travel Planner. It is open to any school travel planner in the UK. The award may go to someone who works in a local authority, a business, a school teacher, parent, or a supplier of products and services to school travel planners.  Their contribution might be local, regional, national or all three.  It’s all about what the individual has managed to achieve in the past year, and the way in which they have gone about doing it.

TravelWise Week/European Mobility Week Award

This award will be judged on the quality of the activities which have taken place in the week.  The judges will be looking for a comprehensive action plan regarding events, individual activities and the involvement of the public.  The week is a public event so entrants must demonstrate public engagement.  The judges will also look for evidence of media involvement as well as how other partnerships were formed to make the week happen.

ACT TravelWise Region of the Year – this an unsponsored award

This is an unsponsored award.  The award is not nominated: all regions are entered automatically.

It is awarded to the regional ACT TravelWise Group which has demonstrated continued and innovative improvement in delivering a range of support and services to members throughout the industry.  Collaboration is the key for this category.  The judges will look for collaboration in wide range of contexts, including but not exclusively, the delivery of external public facing marketing campaigns, cost savings made, the production of marketing collateral, and the successful organisation of training and events.  This year the judges will particularly welcome evidence of successful funding bids and inter-disciplinary working.
