Universities face a number of significant challenges in terms of transport.  With multiple sites, a large population of students and lots of staff to manage, transport is a key component to the smooth running of their operations.

ACT TravelWise is perfectly placed to support transport professionals working in Universities.

What are we currently working on?

We introduced our first graduate research award. The purpose of the award is to encourage first class research dedicated to the sustainable transport field and to help foster the next generation of transport professionals. The successful project will be awarded £500 on completion of the project, and acceptance by a panel of industry experts.

We are running three events on political parties' conferences in September and October this year the theme of these events is ‘Delivering a low carbon system in transport'.

The events will feature some prominent speakers such as Maria Eagles (Shadow Transport Secretary), and Norman Baker (Parliamentary under Secretary for the Department for Transport) and Theresa Villiers (Minister of State for Transport).
