ACT TravelWise Spring Conference - Transport in the 21st Century

Let’s start the New Year with an event that drives forward innovation and creativity in transport planning. The ACT TravelWise Spring Conference on Friday 30th March will be showcasing the latest technological developments for transport and technology, with presentations from some of the UK’s leading practitioners in these fields.

The event being held at the University of Essex will showcase ‘Transport in the 21st Century’ providing delegates with the opportunity to explore two sides of the transport planning industry. First the conference will identify new technology and how it can be used to enhance the way we research and deliver transport projects and secondly, will demonstrate the successful application of sustainable transport projects. This event will combine engaging presentations with interactive learning with the afternoon workshop sessions providing the opportunity for ‘hands on’ discussions. 

But it doesn’t all have to start with the conference, why not take part in the pre-conference events on Thursday 29th March. ACT TravelWise will be organising an engaging and informative study tour to allow delegates to explore the re-developments to Southend transport network, showcasing sustainable travel and smarter choices within this seaside town. Highlights include City Beach and Victoria Plaza examples of shared space in action, plus presentations on c2c rail and First Essex Buses. The tour will finish with a networking opportunity and evening meal in Colchester.

The ACT TravelWise AGM will be held after the conference.
